Tom Hardman Charity Night
A Tom Hardman charity night took place last Friday at the Virgin Lancashire Racquets club. The cause is in aid of The C.R.Y foundation. This charity was chosen by Tom’s family because of the tragic death of Tom Hardman in late November 2012.
Tom Hardman sadly passed away in his sleep and many of his friends and family have begun to raise money for the C.R.Y charity. On Friday alone, almost £6500 was donated and Tom’s parent’s, Richard and Margaret, were truly thankful for the enormous generosity shown.
The night started off with some cocktails and a dinner and then followed an auction of great fun and fervour between the bidders. Cricket bats, football shirts, days out, beauty treatments and sporting venue tickets etc. were in plenty of supply, all kindly donated by some of the countries top sports people and business to help make the night a success.
The evening was ended with a local tribute band of which they packed the dance floor with their hits from the early 80’s through to today’s hits and everyone partied on till late. (or early if you get my drift!)
The night deserved special thanks to Grant Jones who organised the event. Grant was a great friend of Tom’s and also a team-mate with his cricket and bit of football.
